We are a specialised pump distributor, who supplies and maintains their product nationally to our clients. Our client base ranges from councils, other retailers, civil consultants, plumbers, through to smaller companies as well as home owners.

About the role

Due to a continued period of growth, our innovative and dynamic company is looking to secure the services of a Regional Sales Consultant. It is as much about credentials, as it is about you as a person, your personality and drive.

We are looking for someone that is highly motivated and target driven, experience in the plumbing, water, wastewater and/or sewer industry would be desirable. You will work as a trusted and integral team member reporting directly to the Technical Director and Business Manager.  You'll be responsible for researching new business opportunities and finding new clients, leveraging the company reputation and your own knowledge and experience.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement strategic business plans to touch new clients expanding the company presence and new customer base

  • Establish a customer base and their key contacts and developing long term mutually beneficial relationships in designated territories, along with maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.

  • Achieve set targets, future sales goals and pipeline growth by successfully managing new business leads and client support within their deadlines

  • Strong cold calling abilities and appointment settings in accordance with Company guidelines.

  • Develop an exceptional product technical knowledge and understanding of areas/territories

  • Substantial amount of travel will be required for presentations of our product as well as expanding to new areas, along with ongoing client visits and customer support.

  • Plan all travel, email & phone contact with councils, engineers, retailers and other stake holders

  • Provide accurate reporting and forecasting whilst ensuring data accuracy


Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience in sales and account management would be advantageous

  • Strong technical knowledge would be valued and ability to grasp technical product concepts.

  • The ability to develop and implement B2B sales strategies

  • Self-motivated, disciplined, target driven and a team player

  • Excellent inter-personal, communication and negotiation skills

  • Computer skills including excel and word with the ability to manage our in-house CRM.

  • Well-developed written and verbal skills

  • Ability to remain flexible and seek alternative solutions to challenges

  • Organisational, time management and planning skills

  • Presentation skills, networking and relationship building


Other information Particular to the position


  • Travel on behalf of company will be required

  • Current, valid driver’s license
